Land of the Broken Promise
Live in the land of the broken promise.
The truth is you are no longer wanted.
All the appointments she shall surely miss.
Every moment in the house she ranted.
Everyone's birthdays go out the door.
Eating is no longer necessary.
She loves to work and all she wants is more.
Why ever did she have kids and marry?!
Meeting co-workers is now hanging out.
The amount of work should make her wild.
Oh, saying this makes me feel like a lout,
But you have forgotten: I am your child.
Such a wonderful opportunity,
But how I miss our loving unity.
So what do you think? In case you're confused, this is about a mother who got a new job and is never actually with her child anymore... So, yeah. Please review, even if it is to tell me it's dreadful!
