someday i want to
be someone's someone
be someone's shooting
star, one in a million, one in a
billion, i want to matter
more, i want to know i am
loved not just out of
obligation, not just out of
reciprocation,
but out of a spark in their
heart when we meet,
setting fire and burning
passion, birds in their
stomach

and i want to take their hand
and hear "i love you"
and know it means
something real
and i want to say it back, play
catch with sweet nothings and
warmth and
happiness

i want an old sepia-toned love
where we intertwine bodies
and laugh and snort and it's
okay because "i accept you"
and we laugh some more
smile, laugh, exist,
have a love that paints
the galaxy in
pastels

i don't want to be alone anymore
