Why is it so bad
to want something more
then what you already have?
To see others happy and successful,
why is it wrong to wish for that?
Watching others make use of their lives,
as you sit and watch and try to be happy for them.
We lose the sense of gratitude
when we are reminded how unimportant
we are, compared to them.
That's why I don't read magazines or watch TV anymore.
We wish we could be like them.
'Wish' is just another word for 'envy'.
Green with envy,
my blood runs green with envy, like poison ivy,
wrapping itself tight, around my body
'till I itch and burn.
There is no relief to this wanting torture,
we wait for our time, until then
we will always want.
