NOTES: This was originally homework about fixing up the lines, "The King died" and "The Queen Died" by adding in more detail. Since they were hurried one-line descriptions about imaginary characters, I didn't put anything up. However, in class our teacher returned the homework and had us turn these descriptions into a mini-poem. So, this is my revised poem-thingy.
…
The King Died
That noiseless night
A woman waited
By the bedside of
her husband.
Then the candle was
Snuffed out.
She kissed the king's
Lifeless lips
And closed his lids.
