Drowning

I feel like I am drowning

I long to be dying

With death the pain all fades away

All anguish and sorrow will decay

I feel like I am burning

A fire consuming

Dancing flame, flickering flame

All life is nothing but a game

...

I long to stop the pain

The pain of drowning, of burning, again

I am drowning in gloom

Until the time of my doom

...

Everything is alright

There is no everlasting night

The pain is gone, the pain which I hate

All I had to do, was wait
