Pain.
My body was surrounded by pain. I felt it shooting up my spine and filling my entire body. I groaned against her lips; the sensation that was going through my body painful. I vaguely felt the girl's mouth twitching into a smile against my lips.
She pulled back and her sapphire blue eyes shined with joy. "Okay. So, the first part is done. Now, the second part you have to do." She pointed at me and tilted her head to the side.
"You're going to 'kiss' me. But, when you do, picture a black smoke coming out of my body and into yours." The girl explained, touching her chest and then mine.
I nodded and then winced at the flare of pain that went up my spine. The girl grinned vicously, showing off a pair of fangs. I gaped and pointed at her mouth.
She wagged her finger at me and tsked. "Nah, ah. You know the deal; no questions until after the Contract~!"
"Whatever…" I reluctantly agreed.
She smirked and captured my lips with hers, except this time, I did what she told me to. I pictured black smoke coming out of her mouth and into mine. I felt something soft as silk slide down my throat and swirl around inside my stomach.
My eyes widened; the taste….it was delicious! It was as if the sweetest chocolate combined with pineapples and blueberries had entered. I greedily imagined more flowing out and into my body. Before anymore could leave the girl's body, however, she pulled back and cackled.
"Whoa, calm down! Are you trying to kill me? You almost took more of my soul than needed."
I gaped at her, shocked at what she had just said. "What?! I just ATE your soul?!"
She shrugged as if it weren't important. "'S no big deal. I took some of yours; an eye for an eye."
I blinked and then frowned at her. "Okay. Now that the contract is over, who and what are you?"
The girl smirked and looked over her shoulder, as if expecting someone to pop up. To my surprise, and chagrin, someone did.
They screamed biker dude. He was 6'8, 6'7 at least. He had dark brown hair tied in a low ponytail and thick eyebrows that looked as if he was always scowling. His beard covered his entire chin, stopping just above the collar of his white wife-beater.
He wore blue jeans and black boots. In both of his ears were simple, silver hoops.
He scowled and yelled, "Hey, where 'ave 'ya been?! I said thirty-minutes and you've been gone fer thirty-ONE minutes! 'Ya earned yerself night shift!"
The girl scowled and yelled, "What?! I get night watch just because I was getting myself a Master?! What the fuck, Grim?!"
Grim smirked. "I TOLD 'ya. 'Ya were one minute late. Wait, did 'ya just say 'ya found yerself a Master?"
The girl frowned but then turned towards me. "This is 'em. This is…uh, what's your name…?"
I blinked and then scratched the back of my neck. "Uh, Dimitri. Dimitri Klimov."
She nodded and stuck her hand out. When I put my hands in hers, she squeezed it harshly and grinned maniacally. "Hey. I'm Lana. Kind of ironic, if you think about it."
I blinked at Lana and asked, "What do you mean, 'ironic'?"
Lana grinned, flashing her rows of white, slightly sharp, teeth. "It means 'light' in Russian."
I narrowed my eyes at her and waited for the rest.
Her smile widened, if that was even possible. "I'm a Dark Angel."
Lana's POV
I laughed at the expression of utmost horror. "Didn't think you just made a Contract with an Angel, did you? Well, I'm an evil Angel, so…" I trailed off, still smirking at Dimitri's expression.
I cackled and turned his arm over, exposing his forearm. I tapped the inside of his wrist where a purple pentagram now was. "This is the symbol of our Contract. I am now your…I don't want to say slave, but that's basically what I am…so, I'm your slave now."
Grim grunted from behind me and scolded, "Hey, tell 'im all of it!"
I glared at Grim and mumbled, "And, if you give me a direct order, I have no choice but to follow it…"
Dimitri scratched his neck again and asked, "Okay, so, what do you get out of this contract?"
I smiled at him. "Your soul. In addition to getting mine back, I get yours too."
He raised an eyebrow and smirked at me. "You don't sound like a Dark Angel…more like a Demon…."
I scoffed and poked him in the chest. "I can't believe you just said that. Dark Angels and Demons are completely different creatures…besides, Dark Angels still serve God…we're just…not 100% for him…."
He blinked at me and exclaimed, "You guys work for Satan?!"
I blanched and scowled at him. "No! Of course not! We're just not goodie two shoes like the Light!"
Dimitri frowned and said, "Light? Are they the good Angels?"
I scoffed and crossed my arms over my chest. "Yeah. That's them alright…Dark Angels are the cause for tragedy, pain, mischief, etc. We exist to do these things and stop anyone who tries to do our job. Which are Demons."
Dimitri winced and dropped his eyes to the floor. "Oh….So, I guess calling you guys Demons was kind of like insulting you guys, huh?"
I glared at him and snarled out, "Kind of?! You insulted us to the highest degree possible! Man, I'm pissed off now!"
"Calm down, L. Chill~!" a voice said.
I gritted my teeth and spit near the person's feet. "What're you doing here, Alek?"
Alek was a Dark with white-gray hair and silver eyes. He had a lip piercing and a tattoo of a cross underneath his left eye. He was wearing a white V-neck and black pants. His feet were bear and he was in his Dark Angel form. I rolled my eyes and smacked my forehead.
"You're such a dumbass, Alek. Being in your Dark form in the Human World…." I mumbled.
"Aww, can't you just say that you want to see my sexy human form~?" he teases, his voice rising high.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "You just wish I would fawn over you like all the others in the female population…."
Alek rolled his eyes and hooked his thumb at Dimitri. "So, who's the human?"
I blinked and then a vicious smirk found its way on my face. "Oh, this is Dimitri Klimov. He's my new Master."
