There are things in life no one appreciates until they've been lost.
I had beautiful hands, until my own father cut off my fingers, in a selfish attempt to save his own skin. My fingers became creatures of the sea, and people need the seals and other animals for food, among other things, but I still miss my hands. I even miss my father, though I have every reason not to.
