Beneath the stars on that summer night

As the moon was high in the air

And under the veil of pale moonlight

That covered the Earth we share,

I smiled wide and laughed and danced

And watched as the horizon swirled,

Then turned to you and knew for sure

That this was our fantasy world.

And now as I sit alone and think

And the memories still grow stronger,

I wish with all my wishing heart

That the time we spent was longer.

But through the hard times, darkness, and pain,

Our paths and futures unfurled,

We'll always have the time we spent

In our own fantasy world.
