I asked to be your savior
When you needed no saving
Like fire seeking shelter
From the furnace its creating
I lost you in the flow of time
It's been so many years
And every time I've resurfaced
You've dunked me by the ears
Would I be a poodle
If I came up one more time?
Perhaps I'll see you smile, Cait
If I put you in my rhyme
