Ghosts In My Head

Breath against the window, staring into the cool night, you wonder where time has gone, where is eternity heading, if the wait was too long, if you've done too little, much too late.

I figured it was appropriate enough to post this during October. Halloween candy, anyone?

Creaks and Cracks

There is a skeleton in the back of my closet,
Hanging around, nothing but bones and memories,
But he's chattering with me,
The voice in the back of my head.
His shadow looms over me,
And every step I see ahead,
Out pokes one of his bony feet,
I still continue to walk, only to trip,
And he laughs at me.
I laugh too, right along on cue,
Because it's easier to laugh at the pain
In my foot, on my scraped knee,
Than the constant throb in my head.
