Authors Note: Hi this is my first time writing a story specifically for a child. This is a true story. Of coarse I've adapted it. Tell me how I did. Did you like it? Do you think a child would enjoy this? Could it be converted to a picture book? What can I add to this? If you comment feedback I might rewrite this. I know this short so I really want to know what I can do for this story.
It was a cold and wet morning. I shivered. I was cold, soaking and hungry. Where was my Mama? I bleated miserably. Calling for her. Why couldn't I find her?
I see a fence in front of me. But the grounds all wet. I don't way to get my feet wet. How can I get across to the fence? I want my mother.
Someone starts chasing. She's making big, loud noises. I bleat louder Help me Mama, Find me Mama!
I run away. The big human is scary. She's trying to get me. I run, avoiding her. She stops chasing me and I stop running. I bleat loudly. When will my Mother find me?
Suddenly the human is back again. She has a strange object in her hand. A bright pink umbrella. I try and run. But the long handle hooks around my neck. I bleat loudly. The human lifts me up of the ground. She holds me to her chest and cuddles me. I kick. I just want my Mama.
Baa! Baa! Baa!
The human gently lowers me down over the fence. As soon as she lets me go I hurry back to the tree where my Mama is.
Baa! I call one last time.
My mother meets me with a snuggle. I hurry to drink from her. The sweet taste of milk fills my mouth and I feel good. My tummy is full and I'm warm all over. I'm happy. I'm finally back with my Mama
