A.N. - Another contest poem - surprise, surprise. Prompt was "something you never learnt (that you wish you were taught)" in 60 words or less. This should be 59 words.

Cum Laude Comedown

I have a diploma now,
two part-time jobs, a pile of bills
along with a bevy of confidantes.

The classroom tried to mold me,
life lessons strengthened me,
experiences made me what I became.

They taught me how to be an adult
and sent me on my real world way,
but they never taught me how to grow up.
