Author's Note: Tituba can see the future. Based loosely on Tituba, victim of the Salem Witch Trials.
Tituba
Enter my children and close the door,
For the rest must know naught.
You come to me when all hope is gone,
You come to me so you will have comfort.
Enter the circle to know the truth,
Enter the circle if you wish to seek the world.
Give me your hand and I will see your future,
I can see the good and the bad.
Sit down next to the hearth,
And listen as the flames tell their secrets.
Listen, listen my dears,
Listen to what Tituba has to say.
Lean in and listen.
Do you hear it?
Good, good, good.
Now, get your things and leave,
For the minister and his lady will be back soon.
Remember, not a word,
Or all will not be well.
Now, run along and remember what Tituba said.
Not a word or they will think we have sinned,
Or the Devil is calling.
