Prologue

"Burn like the sun for the emperor of the skies, burn with the radiance of a million stars so that none may stand in your way! Turn this world of perpetual sorrow into the realm of the gods, Veridian!"

The darkness flees away from the sudden spark of light that burns into existence, sending its fingers out into the frozen night devouring all that it touches.

Out from the blaze runs a single young woman, beaten and bruised from head to toe, but before she can make it further than a few feet way, the girl collapses and is swallowed up by the ever growing blaze.

Nothing is spared, there is only one survivor, a small babe who lies beneath an old oak tree, hair shining like the lone moon who watches the developing scene below here lonely face.
