One night while Santa was making his deliveries and all the elf's had gone to bed. Mrs. Claus had gotten bored waiting for Santa to get home so went to his workshop and started fiddling with pieces of wood and fabric. She found a instruction book. She decided to try to learn how to make a toy boat. Then the head elf came into the workshop and asked her what she was doing. So she explained while smiling sweetly.

'I'm bored waiting for Santa to come back and thought I would try to make some toys.'

'Would you like me to show you some toys you can make?'

'Oh that would be lovely I only know what I have managed to see when I have wondered in to the workshop to do a job.'

So the head elf sat down and showed her how to make lots of different toys., from dolls to boats and dolls houses to teddy bears. She made cars, teddy bears and lots of other toys until Santa came home.

When he finally got home she showed him all the toys and gifts she had made and she was so proud of herself that he said

'They are lovely my Dear but what are you going to do with them now'

'I don't know. I suppose they will have to wait till next Christmas for you to deliver' she replied

'well my love I think we should find some extra special children for them to go to tonight.'

'Are you sure that is a good idea and can we do it. You have been out all night'

'I won't be delivering them you will be. I will ask Rudolph and one or two other reindeer to go back out tonight and ask them to help you deliver I will find some extra special boys and girls for the toys to go to but only on the condition you deliver them yourself.' Mrs Claus hesitated and then agreed to do it and off went Santa and the head elf to round up more help. Santa went to the office and found the list of extra special boys and girls while the head elf got all the elf's together and helped get Mrs Claus get ready they found an old coat of Santa's and built her a sleigh. Wrapped the toys and loaded them into the sleigh they had made her. Santa came back and they found she had not made enough gifts for all the special boys and girls. So all the elfs after hearing that started helping Mrs Claus, make more toys till she had enough for every child on her list. She then got herself all ready and then Mrs. Clause realised she didn't have any magic

' oh what am I to do Santa'

' I could lend you some magic or why not do it your way not mine' so Mrs. Claus went off and thought hard until she came up with the right idea and off she went to get all the baubles off the Christmas tree and started writing the names of the children on the baubles and other tree decorations and then she started writing every child a letter that would she would post through their letter box the letters would say how good girls or boys they were and that the decorations where to show where their presents were. When she was ready she climbed into her sleigh and off she went to deliver all the presents she went to every house and popped the decorations into the garden or a different near by place that the children knew sometimes she even delivered the presents to the grandmothers, granddads, uncles or aunties of the good children. As she knew they would be there in the morning. When she finally got home after doing all the deliveries Santa and her had a cup of Hot chocolate and talked all about her adventures and how she would like to do it again next year and Santa agreed only on the condition she had her own little sleigh and she agreed as long as she could make all the toys and decorations for the children to which Santa chuckled and agreed to let her and she made decorations and presents all year round till she could deliver them on Christmas night.
