This was an assignment in my english class. we had to write a a found poem which i found to be somewhat difficult, hoping to get some opinions on it. PLEASE read and Review it would be greatly appreciated!

disclaimer - all the words in this poem were written by pvt. Harold Lederman in his letters home to his parents I just arranged them the way they are hence why it s a found poem.

Also - I don't know if pvt. lederman is still alive or not but I just want to put a thank you out there for him for being a soldier and joining the army in WWII and I want to thank his son for posting his letters home online for everyone to see. I know why we fight,

I know the values we're trying to secure.

These people must have endured many terrifying moments.

-Why are they dead!

I know why we fight,

Send some news about the other boys.

As yet, I have not seen combat.

It's amazing when you think of all of us,

So far from home,

We were all somewhat dazed.

I know why we fight.
