Flow

(Based on the first line of a poem by Raziel Guillen)

A case filled with grass and

Some worn brown shoes

Lie in the junkyard

Where stray cats rule

Streets at midnight

As lonely as

Me.

The sun sets

On azure ocean

Where waves crash

Upon sandy shores

Where a little boy

Sits in the sand

And plays.

I sit down

In the classroom

Examine the words

On crisp lined paper

That were written

By the classmate

Next to me.

Like a river

Leads toward sea

Which then leads to

Unknown lands

So the universe

And all life

Flows.
