She lied
from breathtaking smile to
glowing countenance;
He'll pretend to believe it all
his own freefall grins searing his mouth.
But he pulses in faraway places
she sells her heart to the highest bidder
and they'll put on their best faces, their
beautiful ugly caricatures full
of jealousy overtaking and vicious.
Everyone believes them.
She'll keep lying and he keeps
his secret stolen rhythms.
