It dawned brilliant on the horizon,
gazing bright blue
You're just a day away, I insisted;
you said nothing in reply.
She can reach for his wrists,
her own lifted in supplication
throat gasping more and more
for air
It still smolders stunning against the skyline
blue ever brighter
deafening, silent.
