Make It Okay
Wait, what was that, you said?
Was the question I asked
As tears spilled from your eyes
Onto the stone cold glass.
They're lying, mama, silly,
This just cannot be true,
This can't be right, it cannot!
How could this happen to you?
They say they can't fix you,
Not this time around.
They say its impossible,
And you fall to the ground.
So many tears, so, so many.
I cry and ask God, why?
I hold your hand as you sob and
whisper, "I'm going to die".
And the truth sinks in.
You're not going to be here
As I grow old, grow up-
This is my worst fear.
We travel on home,
And there is nothing to say.
So we sit in silence-
No words will make it okay.
