.:: Change Isn't Always A Good Thing ::.
I see you for the first time in your yellow shirt and black shorts
We were seven then, and nothing in the world was complicated
The only thing we knew of was friendship, sharing, and playing games in the backyard
On those long summer days you'd come over, and we'd play for hours
I see you for the second time in your yellow shirt and black shorts
We were twelve then, and things had started sprouting up in our lives
New people that didn't like us, classes where we couldn't see each other, and late night phone calls
On those long summer days you'd come over, and we'd talk for hours
I see you for the third time in your yellow shirt and black shorts
We are sixteen now, and everything in the world is complicated
There's not enough time to explain, we are lying to each other, and there's mentions of 'I can't stand you'
On those long summer days you're never coming over, and we hardly speak at all
We were once close
Now we've drifted
