In a barren city,
Cars and buildings lay abandoned.
Darkness;
Like the slimy surface
Of a chocolate glaze.
Silence;
Handing on every subject
Making its home wherever
It feels welcome.

A lone cry from a young girl
Is thrown into the air
Casting an eerie sense among
Anyone who crosses.
...
