To and fro
The subtle tree sways.
Its branches hang low
For all of its days.
The great mighty willow
As tough and as strong
As the hard armadillo.
Its life will be long.
For hundreds of years
The willow has stood
Sheltering deer
And giving them food.
Its children go far
As the seeds blow.
They grew in the heart
Of the great mighty willow.
