WhatIcouldhaveStopped
It sits there
Crying for hope
With its silent cry
But it has no idea of the trouble it is in
It just sits there
As it stares at me
With its black velvet eyes
Begging for help
It just sits there
I wonder what I could have done
How I could have helped
A river runs from my eye
Flowing into a small droplet
It plummets to the cold ground.
It just sits there
A roar echo's through the bending trees
The leaves scatter like a school of fish
But it just sits there
The last of it species
Destroyed
And I could have done something
Anything
But I just sat there
