My Sister The Master
Like an indentured servant to her master,
On my face, a smile is plastered
For my big sister, the master.
Sisterly love is what I seek from my master
And if I work hard enough,
That love is what I'll capture.
I'll fetch her purse and do her chores
And if I'm good enough,
Her love will be my reward.
I wait patiently
As I do what I'm told
And hope, from her, I won't get pushed into the cold.
My sister once loved me, like all sisters do.
Then she grew up
And I became old news.
Sister, I love you
And you must know its true
But remember: I need your love, too.
