A+ A- |
You called me,
frantic, in the night –
you'd been screaming silently
from your nightmares.
You called me,
to decorate your dreams –
to come inside
and wield my skill.
I bring with me
little purple flowers
with bright yellow stars
captured in the center,
and tuck them
in the dark corners.
I bring with me
fairy lights
with little coloured shades
glowing pastel
and string them
along on the monsters.
Your eyelids flutter,
you start to yawn,
my job is done,
payment wise,
I'll collect
another night.
