I will try to update this probably once a week, but I am in high school, and only seventeen, so I have other things to do besides write; school, homework, videogames, you know. A normal high school kid.

I have written the first chapter, at about 8600 words, in eight hours over four days, two hours a day, using the Stephen King rule. (He doesn't stop writing in a day until he has written at least two thousand words.)

This is a good way to write, and I encourage anyone else starting to write like me to use this rule as well. It really helps you to write even when you don't really feel like it, you feel obligated to obey your rule. And that way you get your work done.

My first name is James, I'm not saying my last name; I'm the author of The Anomaly. This is my first serious writing project ever, there have been other attempts, but I stopped within a day or two.

But this time, it feels right. And I like how I'm developing the story.

But since this is being uploaded on fiction press, and not on Fan Fiction, this is my own story.

All parts of this story are mine and were thought of and typed up by I. I reserve the right, if this ever actually gets published as a real novel, to take this down. Don't worry; I would inform you about how it would be changed and who would be publishing it, and where you could buy it, if you wanted.

If it doesn't get published, then this story will just stay up.

I want people to read and enjoy this story. Please read and review, if you feel like it.

I want to know how good my writing is. Tell me. Any criticism is appreciated. I know for a fact already that it could use some work.

You see the people mentioned in the first few pages? Stephen King, Tim Willocks? They're truly great authors, and I would be lucky to become even a fifth of what they are in art of writing literature. So help me, by criticizing ;)
