Shy and unsure

It wasn't love

It was just curiosity from the start

Before I was unnoticed

Hidden beneath the surface

Similar to when the roots grow under the pavement

A flower blooms above the cracks

It was something new

Exciting

Forbidden

And yet I wanted a taste of it

To be noticed

It didn't matter how far apart in worlds we were

He took notice

First glance

I wasn't in love

But he noticed

So I took the chance

He was older, wiser than me by far

But because of the gap

Things had to be hidden

A certain distance had to be kept

Driving me to near panic and mistrust

Yet I couldn't walk away

He noticed and caught my curiosity
