Chapter III: July 11th, 2515 Planet: Earth

Two Months later...

Mike had been running none-stop now for what seemed like hours, His legs felt like they were going to collapse but he had to keep going.

He started to think about the hell he's been through these last couple of months. He was thankful that he and Sam had been teamed up together through boot camp, And even more thankful to find out that Korra and Andria had also been placed on his squad.

There first mission would be in the next upcoming months. He was brought back to reality when something flew over his head; he ducked and jumped behind the nearest tree.

"Shit!" He shouted.

"You have to do better than that if you want to be the leader!"

Sam shouted from behind him. There drill instructor had the bright idea to drop Mike off in the middle of some random forest and have his team hunt him. He has been running for days now, He only has a pistol a couple of clips and some water. And the only way for him to win is if he finds the drop-ship that's hiding somewhere in the forest or takes out his whole team. Lovely He thought.

"You have to aim better then that if you want to stay alive!" Mike shouted to Sam.

Sam just rolled his eyes."Okay team!" He shouted.

"Red Two, I want you to get in those trees" He pointed to the left of him.

"And wait for him to come into sight."

Andria nodded and started to climb. "Red three and four, I want both of you to sneak up behind him on opposite sides. Four I want you to pin him down and Have three knock him out. If he escapes then Andria will get him. Are we clear?"

"Yes sir!" They shouted. "On my mark...Mark!" Red four was the fastest of the group she quickly reached the tree and tackled Mike; she wrapped her legs around his torso and put him in a head lock. But he wasn't giving up so easily. He quickly slammed his head back causing Alice to yell and let go of him. He shot up and turned around only to find Taro's fist collide with his face. Mike stumbled back but quickly recovered and Hit Taro in the gut, He doubled over and pain.

Alice jumped on Mikes back and wrapped her arms around his neck tempting to choke him. But Mike threw her over his shoulder and she landed hard on her back in the dirt. Mike grabbed her pistol out of its holder and shot Taro in the chest twice. He yelled in pain, and suddenly two glowing red marks appeared where he had been shot. He was out.

Mike was paying too much attention to Taro that he didn't realize that Alice had recovered. He heard a click, it took him a moment to realize what it was but by the time he realized, it was already too late. When he turned around she shot.

"Would you like to explain private Hondras why you failed this training exercise?" The Drill instructor said sternly to Mike. "I over estimated my abilities. I thought I could handle them both, but I was wrong. There's no excuse Sir." Mike said. He made a mental note to remember that Alice and Taro were very lethal together.

"You're right. There's no excuse for why you failed this simple exercise. You shoulder never underestimate your opponent Never. Is that clear?"

"Yes, sir."

"You are a natural leader Mike. And you don't take or give any BS. Every day I see people come in and give me excuses on why they didn't do something right, But you don't. That's why I chose you. Now, don't make me regret my decision. dismissed"

Next chapter is much better. I promise.
