Lost Found and Forgotten PM
There is currently at this moment, a bush fire burning a few suburbs away from my house. If it reaches the next suburb I may have to be evacuated. This is a poem based on somebody experiencing a bush fire.

The strange phenomena blinds you

With the force of odourless stench

It confuses you within the soul

And breathes upon regret

You pack your things, your valuables

And leave an open door

Set sail upon a road of tar

To never return, no more

But then there is a moment

When far beyond the sky

You watch the creature burning

And devour your inside

Hope goes up in flames

Pity is covered with smoke

Grief is buried under the earth

And loss you surely choke

Years and years they pass

For you to not return

But when you do, you cry

To see what's all be burned

The remains of your canine

The scorched mark of room

The blood of your enemies

The doll upon the broom

Insurance does kick in

And your life starts to rebuild

But the memories lost

Will never seem to sheild
