Welcome To Wonderland

When she woke up she was by herself and as she looked around there was no one, or anything for that matter there. She was by herself in a dark black, lonely void. She clenched her skirt nervously and then she felt the loneliness begin to consume her when she heard someone laughing. She looked ahead of her where she thought she heard the voice come from and she started to walk towards the laughing.

"I…Is someone there?" She asked nervously as she continued to walk towards the laughing. She grabbed her cold upper arms as she looked around the dark void nervously. She stopped abruptly when she saw up ahead of her was a pair of malicious red eyes staring straight at her. She felt a chill go up her spine and she froze up like a statue.

"W…what are you?" She said, her voice shaking with fear. Then under the pair of red eyes was a sinister grin that grew from cheek to cheek.

"Ah… how mean… we haven't seen each other in so many years and you call me a what. That's really mean Alice." She said with an amused smile on her face.

"How do you know my name?" She asked what sounded like a girl. The girl with the red eyes just gave her a sly grin.

"I would tell you but… if you don't leave now you will drown." She said as she disappeared in the shadows. Alice stared at her in a daze and then when she saw her begin to disappear she ran towards her and tried to reach out to her.

"Wait!" She yelled as she tried to grab the girl, but it was too late she was already gone. What does she mean drown? She thought to herself and then she felt her heart throb and her lungs begin to burn as if they were on fire. She grabbed her throat and began to scratch at it trying to take in a breath of air but nothing came in. Soon everything around her became fuzzy and her eyes began to shut.

When her eyes opened again she was floating in something blue and cool. She saw the sun up above her and instinctively began to swim up to it. She swam as fast as she could trying to get up to the surface. She was almost there when she felt her head get dizzy and she lost all her strength in her arms and legs. Is this how I'm going to die? She thought and then suddenly an arm broke through the water and grabbed her wrist and pulled her up. The moment air hit her lungs she started to have a coughing tantrum as her lungs tried to get rid of the water and take in as much air as possible.

When the coughing finally subsided she looked next to her to see a small boy around eight years old with golden hair and light blue eyes staring at her with a worried expression. He wasn't very tall… if she were to measure him she would say he was about a foot shorter than her.

"Miss… are you alright?!" The child said. She looked at her in a daze for a minute and then shot her a small smile.

"Yeah… I'm okay… " She said and then she lay down on her back onto the cold grass and stared at the bright blue sky. She was like that for a few minutes and then a thought hit her that made her sit upright in shock. It was night… I was in an alley way… how is it day already? She thought to herself as she continued to look at the sky in disbelief.

"Hey kid! Where am I?!" She said as she snapped her attention away from the blue sky and towards the small boy. He looked at her surprised for a minute and then his face changed from surprise to giving Alice with a little pout at being called 'kid'.

"What are you talking about? You're obviously still in Wonder Land." He said back to his concerned look. How could she not know where she's at? He thought to himself.

Alice stared at him completely flabbergasted and then she looked down at her feet speechless. Wonderland? What is he talking about that just a children's tale… impossible… There's no way! She thought to herself as she grabbed her head that suddenly started to ache and then the ominous red eyed entered her mind again. A second later her whole world had gone black.
