Rock bands are the most awesome thing, especially if you actually get to know one. Most guys in bands are super awesome but it's still a very hard life with lots of ups and downs that affects almost everyone, especially if you're a really close friend of the band.Rated: Fiction T - English - Humor/Romance - Chapters: 2 - Words: 2,479 - Reviews: 3 - Updated: 11-05-12 - Published: 10-05-12 - id: 3063363

"Come on, Mike, we're gonna be late for the show!" Madison yelled at me.
"I'm coming! God!" I yelled right back at her. She really annoyed me sometimes.
"There's no need to yell, guys!" Maddox yelled at us. Funny how he yells at us for yelling. Ironic much?
"Alright, I'm ready. Let's go!" I just wanted to go to the concert and enjoy it without Madison annoying the hell out of me. I put on my converse and ran to the front door.
"It's funny how I'm the one they have to hurry yet the first one to finish getting ready." I said and just a few seconds later Madison and Maddox both came down the stairs.
"You are so whiny, did you know that?" Maddox told me.
"I'm not whiny, I'm just not… patient. I thought that my own brother would know that by now."
"For god's sake, Mykal just shut up and get in the car." Madison said, already tired of our arguments. I did as she told me and Maddox drove. I really love my brother and sister but they really get on my nerves sometimes. Especially Madison, I mean, she's so girly it makes me want to vomit most of the time. Sure, I'm a girl but that doesn't mean I have to act all sweet and girly, that's just weird for me. I'm very tomboy, if you hadn't already guessed. I love rock, hate dresses and skirts, ride skateboard, hang out with guys mostly, play basketball, hate chick flicks and almost everything that has to do with anything cliché and let's not forget the fact that I like being called Mike instead of Mykal. I know it's a boy name but I like it.
Right now we were on our way to the Bury Our Lies concert. I really love them; they're awesome and let's not forget the fact that they are all hot. They're just totally my type. And, no, I don't just like them physically, I actually really like the music, the looks are a bonus. I'm sure the concert is gonna be a blast just like all their other concerts. When I got in the car, I hoped to hear cool music like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Avenged Sevenfold, All Time Low or anything like that, but no, we had to listen to One Direction all the way. I literally jumped out of the car when we parked.
"What the hell were you trying to do, Madison, kill me?!"
"Oh, don't be such a drama queen. They're good." Madison told me.
"Yeah, at being totally lame!"
"Let's just go inside so you can enjoy your music, Mike." Maddox said leaving us behind. We caught up with him and went inside. We took our seats and waited for the show to start. About 15 minutes later the opening band started playing and they were good. I liked them a lot. They played a few songs and then the lights cut off. Bury Our Lies started playing and the crowd went wild. They played for about an hour until the lead singer, Kurt, started talking.
"I hope you guys are enjoying this," everyone went 'yeah!' so he continued speaking, "That's awesome! We're gonna get someone up here so he or she can either play with us something or sing, depends in which the person feels more comfortable. The band started talking among them and then the bassist, Alex, took a flashlight and started moving it around the whole crowd. Then, he stopped and left it pointing to a person in the crowd. What took me while to realize was that it was pointing at me. I must've had a look on my face that said I wasn't sure if it was me because then Kurt said, "Yes, you, come on up here."
There was a security guard waiting for me to help me get on stage. Another security guard asked if I needed help to hop on the stage. Since I am so stubborn, I told him no. I play basketball so I jump a bit. I took impulse and jumped on the stage without much effort. The look on the band's faces was priceless. I am pretty awesome.
"Wow, first time I see a girl jump that high with ease." The drummer, Jason, said. I just shrugged and said, "I play basketball."
"Cool, so, do you play any instrument?" The lead guitarist, Kyle, asked me.
"I play I bit of guitar."
"Well, let's see how good you are. Come here and show us what you got." Kyle said giving me a guitar a guy backstage gave him.
"What do you guys want me to play?" I asked them. I just wanted to see if the just saw me as a fragile little girl.
"Play whatever you want." So I did. I played Waking The Demon by Bullet For My Valentine.
"Damn, you were awesome. What's your name?" Jason said with a look on his face that made me proud of myself but that was also super hot.
"Mike." I told him. They all looked at me in a weird way and, honestly, it was kind of creepy.
"But that's a guy's name." Alex told me.
"My real name is Mykal but everyone calls me Mike. I don't really like my name because it's super weird and girly." I explained to them. I was used to people always saying that.
"Well, then Mike, you were awesome playing that guitar." Kyle told me.
"Thank you, that actually means a lot to me coming from you." I said giving him a genuine smile, not my normal sarcastic smile.
"Why don't you go backstage until the show is over because I think we all need to talk to you and help you with your music career?" Kurt asked me. I wanted to go give him a bear hug but, since I knew it wouldn't be appropriate, I just smiled again and went backstage like he told me.
The rest of the concert was simply amazing and after they played their last song, they came backstage. It was actually funny because I was eating like a damn pig when they snuck up on me.
"I can see she eats like a man." Alex said and I turned around with my mouth full because of the piece of pizza I put in my mouth.
"What?" It actually sounded like… I don't even know what it sounded like.
"I'm just tired of seeing girls starve themselves, only eating salads every 6 hours or so. It's nice seeing a girl that doesn't care if she is super skinny for a change." He said so I could understand. I swallowed the remains of the pizza and spoke, "I play a lot of basketball so everything I eat, I lose it on the basketball court." I explained to him. He just nodded and sat on the couch next to me.
"You seem cool; I would really like to know you better." Kurt told me and I swear to god I blushed bright red. "Oh, babe, don't blush because, even if you do look sexy blushing, it makes me feel like I'm a sweet talker."
"Sorry to break it to you, dude, but you are a sweet talker." Jason laughed and I couldn't help but laugh and so did everyone else.
"Alright, but don't tell anyone." Kurt said smiling. We all kept talking and joking and laughing and I completely forgot about Maddox and Madison.
"Oh, crap! I totally forgot about my brother and sister! They're probably thinking of all the ways they could kill me." I said freaked out. I got off the couch but Alex pulled on my arm.
"Let me go with you, it's late and it's very dangerous for a girl to be out alone." I told him okay and we got out front. We went to the parking lot and the car was nowhere in sight.
"Ah, man! Those idiots left me! Without even calling! I hope they rot in hell." I kept saying all the ways they could die when Alex cut me off.
"Relax, I'll take you home, no worries." I just agreed and kept saying the many ways to murder my siblings under my breath. We got in the car and we started talking. I really enjoyed talking to him. It's relaxing and fun talking to him. I really enjoy his company.
