The song that could last a thousand years
Will one day soon be sung
The Lord will wipe away all the tears
When the New Earth has begun
The Fallen World shall pass away
And never be seen again
The House of God shall be with man
And He'll always be with them
The song that could last a thousand years
Will on that day begin
And all who believed when they did hear
Will praise the end of sin
On seven hill in the City Four Square
The Redeemer shall begin His light
And it never shall end, for He never can
And there will never again be night
The song that could last a thousand years
Will be known to everyone
The poor, the rich, the loved, the feared
Will be the same under the Son
With naught to concern and naught to forgive
Eternity shall commence
Carrying all with it to sing His praise
Without their false pretense
The song that could last a thousand years
Will never be defiled
All will be true, the records cleared
And all will be His child
Old passed away, the New Earth and Heaven
Will be the gifts of His hand
I'll see His face and before Him kneel
And I'll never again need to stand
For the song that could last a thousand years
Will last and never end
