iron-hard

her feet dig down into lush green grass, fire

flows into loose fists, eyes

narrow, flutter shut, she sees through the spark

Afternoon gold coils around him,

liquid sunlight streams across his eyes, onyx-dark

inscrutable as shade

a quiet spring, he vibrates,

a jewel-bright dragon hidden inside grey stone
