RISE

I fell and yet I rose,

I glanced into the darkness.

I have felt its prescence within me,

and yet. . .

I rose.

Never again will I,

let myself fall.

Never again will I,

give in.

Never again when the darkness comes knocking,

at my door,

will I answer.

Never again will the darkness,

outside my door,

enter my heart and soul.

Never again will it consume me,

with dread and hopelessness.

My Shield will protect me.

My Shield is made of something pure,

It is not silver,

Or poison,

Or hatred.

It is pure,

Purest of all things,

in this world.

It is,

Love.

With this Shield,

I will Rise.

And Rise,

I shall.

Dedicated to: my school family.

Note: When I say Love, I don't just mean romance. I mean the love from family and friends, as well as romance
