"That which hath made them drunk hath made me bold"
Never again have I thought I would feel the cold
Metal graze my cheek
Never again did I think we would meet
At the height of emotion
As wide as the ocean
You grazed your chilled hand across my wrist
As gentle as a kiss
A love note from death
Wishing me well on my last breath
"Put out the light, and then put out the light"
It said.
Reminding me of a love that was dead
Retelling stories of puppeteers and equivocators
That had been long gone straight to hell
Who couldn't find their way to heaven.
And both brought down with them a somewhat innocent maiden
As the flesh burned at her already cut, bruised and battered skin.
She wondered when this hell would end.
