They say you're here.
That you're never far away.
They say you're everywhere.
That I could feel you.
But I can't.
I don't feel you,
You don't help me when I'm hurt,
Or guide me when I'm lost.
I've tried, I have.
But I can't.
I can't believe what I do not know,
Not in my mind, nor my heart.
I can't have faith in your peaceful ways,
When war rages outside my window.
I cannot praise who I cannot love,
I cannot feel what is not there.
So send me to the eternal flames,
But remember,
I am your child,
You are said to love me.
How can you sentence your children to death,
But allow those who have sinned, into eternal life?
