My Moon

The moon is always there,

Darkness or light,

Rain or shine.

It may be hard to see sometimes,

But it never leaves.

A cloud may cover it,

But its brightness still shines though.

It's deep but doesn't seem it.

It's old yet always seems new.

It's far away, but closer than I think.

It keeps my secrets and hears every word I say.

It shines brightly at night,

Guiding the way

For wherever my path may lead.

It watches me during the day,

Always there if I need it.

The moon never falters,

Whether I succeed or fail,

Smile or cry.
