Wow, this was even more difficult to post than I had imagined.

You say I'm never good enough

And that I never try.

You say you're only helping me

To see me mess inside.

.

To say that only hurts things more;

It makes the monster grow.

This anger courses through me,

Work not to let it show.

.

See, I know I'm never good enough

Knowing this, it's hard to try

'Cause I don't know where the next step is,

I just know I want to fly.

.

I don't need your permission;

Your help would've been nice,

But since that seems too much for you,

I'll go elsewhere for advice.

.

Thanks for all these years of nothing

But phone calls and fake "I love you's"

I know well where we stand now

We were too forced to be true.
