In The Begging Of Time
Everyone knows about how the world was started in the void of chaos. The birth of day, night, love, and hate. Then the Titans were born and created the Gods, and the Gods betrayed the Titans. In an ironic twist of fate the Gods created man and were betrayed by them. They were forgotten and left to wither and die. Now few believe in the old tales and ways of the many Gods.
Most of the tale you have been told is true, but man created the gods through their thoughts and prayers. The Titans were evil Gods that forgot who made them strong and abused the gifts Humanity gave them. One day after years of slavery to the Titans humanity thought up new beings to protect and rule their lives. The Gods were created more powerful and benevolent than the Titans. The two groups fought nearly destroying the realm they lived in. The gods being victors fled to Tera so their realm may heal. They lived on and flattened the heights mountain. There a city sat there for many years, until the fears of man gave birth to a new being who feed on what he was born of. This being sucked the planet of life and made it seem that the Gods were abusing their power. Humanity was split warring for the deity they believed to be the true savior. The Gods were made weak by the lack of prayers while the beast was fueled by Humanities fears. The Gods left and gave man a city strong enough to never be besieged by the beast and the means to rebuild the world. In this paradise Humanity had a direct line of contact with the Gods and feared the world they lived in less and less. The beast grew weaker and in a last ditch effort he sent his agents to sink the city of the ocean it was placed over. The messenger of the Gods made it to man before and warned them to flee.
With the city gone Humanity took the fight to the beast led by might heroes who were the demie gods in charge of protecting Humanity when the Gods left. Beings of man infused with a fraction of the powers of the Gods. Each of the demie gods had their own gift form the gods that they were born form, unique weapons, armor, cloths, and devices of untold power. With these items Humanity took back the world and only with the combined sacrifice of these gifts from the Gods were they able to bring the earth back to its former glory. One of the demie gods' kept his cloak, which when used properly could sustain a small portion of the world, and gave it to a small group of humans who were unlucky enough to settle in a part of the world that received the least amount of care. This item was interpreted as a golden fleece although it wasn't made of wool or any cloth known to Humanity at the time. When the other demie gods learned of this they made ways of using this device all over the earth so no one people would have it for to long, constructing large temples designed to give the area around them the energies of the demie gods cloak. However, some time after the war the race of Humanity feared the demie gods that used there power to rule like tyrants, seeing as the demie gods didn't need to rely on humanities prayers they had no power over them, and wanted them to give up there godlike powers. Some did as they were asked, while others fled to the realm of the gods, others went into hiding, and few joined the beast in a last chance effort to get back at the Gods and Humanity for abandoning and turning on them.
In revenge for their treatment the dark demie gods planted the ideas of new gods in the minds of Humanity. These new gods were made true in the realm of the gods and a war begun in their reality that bleed and still bleeds into our world. The new gods fight over the minds and prayers of Humanity so they can rule in the way they were original created to do so. Unfortunately for them Humanity interrupted the words and deeds of these god as belong to others. The war is breading more fear as the different religions fight and this feed the beast, now our world is falling apart the war of the gods is destroying our world and hope is in short supply. Some of the gods of old have seen the beasts' strength and decided to try to get new gods to help but to no avail. The new gods were too preoccupied with the war to see the end over the horizon. The gods of old sent the demie gods back to Tera to try to save the world and the realm of the gods.
The Begging of the Quest
In the realm of the Gods in Zeus chambers Zeus talking to one of his last sons a demie god to gather the lost sons and daughter of heroes of old to find the golden fleece. This is Zeus last effort to save Tera and win the hearts of the whole of Humanity.
Zeus: "Go now my son convince man of the tragedy to come let them know there is way to prevent it."
Zeus son: "Of course my father I will tell them."
Zeus: "Good luck and may the speed of Hermes be with you"
Zeus son leaves his father on his sick bed and goes to the portal to Tera. He made a stop to the armory to grab some weapons and armor for him and the children of the old heroes and gods. With these things in a small pouch enchanted to be bigger on the inside he set off. When he leaves he doesn't let anything stop him thinking about the love and praise he will get when he arrives on Tera. The moment he steps through an ocean of water welcomes him on his head. After reaching the surface he sees a boat going past.
Skipper: "Man over board! Man over board!"
Zeus son "Where am I?"
Skipper scratching his head: "The west pacific above the Mariana according to our maps. Why?"
Zeus son: "I need to be in Greece, can you take me there."
Skipper: "No but, here's a rope we can talk along the way."
The Skipper and Zeus son travel to the near by coast of Australia. While they travel the Skipper asks his name and where he is from, to which he replied Argos and he can't say were he was from.
Skipper: "Argos like the ship Jason had when he went on the journey for the fleece"
Argos: "Yes, so were did you say we were Australia?"
Skipper: "Yeah and good luck getting to Greece."
Argos: "Same to you fre…."
Just then a man came by and attacked Argos taking him to the ground and hitting him in the face. Argos pushed the man of the dock and looked at him only to see that he had a burned face and charred hair. He ran knowing the minions of the beast were coming for him knowing a battle in the city would end in many innocent deaths. As he ran he saw a man fighting off one trying to protect a small group of people hiding in a building.
Man: "Try to get these people and you will be wishing you were in the deepest pit of Hades."
Argos runs standing next to the man pulling a sword out of the pouch
Argos: "Take this sword and fight there will be more to come."
Man: "Who are you friend?"
Before Argos could answer a pack of the beast-men came knowing he would stop to help the young ones in danger. The two slew many before the man had his sword knocked out of his hand. The man grabbed a fallen pillar form a building and used it for a club. The most of them fell either by sword slash or club bash. With the people safe the two men began to pick up their conversation.
Argos: "Argos and you?"
Man: "Hercus and thanks for the help."
The fight being over the two men talked over what had happened and what was going on. Argos explained as best he could that the worlds' time was at an end and that he need a team of the best swordsman, archers, fighters, and minds."
Hercus: "What about gunmen?"
Argos: "The weapons of modern time alone will not hurt the beast, why did you trust me so quickly."
Hercus: "You have the mark of a demie god is it really time to advance the fight to the beast?"
Argos looks to his upper arm and sees a lightning bolt. Hercus shows his to be a club and two snakes. After a short silence Argos says.
Argos: "Yes do you know how to get to Greece from here?
Argos: "A what?"
The two heroes set of to Greece and before they left put up a website advertising a contest of agility, strength, and intellect. When they arrived they set up in a abandoned lot with some help form the contestants. There was wrestling, obstacle courses, swimming, and many mental challenges.
Argos: "This isn't how I planed, I guess this idea only works once."
Hercus: "What, you mean you didn't want the drunks, thieves, and idiots to show up to the largest proving ground in modern time grab a drink be marry."
Argos: "Did you see that?"
Hercus: "I'm too far gone to trust my senses."
A phantom like figure ran down an alleyway leaving a trail of gold dust. Argos saw that some of the contestants were looking down the same alleyway. Argos, Hercus and the other contestants went down the alleyway to find the sprit holding bag with gold dust in it.
Sprit: "What I'm boring this from a friend it's not mine is swear."
Teros: "Sure, what's wrong with a man with a bag of farydust."
Hercus: "How should we address you helpful spirit?"
Sprit: "I am the unknown hero Dika."
After a short chuckle form the small crowd Dika told them that he saw that this idea of a competition was doomed to fail but he need a good laugh. Also he said they had their crew all who could see him, but would need to find a vessel on there own for thinking him a jest. Argos looked around.
Argos: "Les us get to know one another then split up and find a suitable vessel."
The group went to a open field and talked for around an hour at which point Argos stated.
Argos: "Let us go find a vessel we should split up to find it faster. There are one, five, twelve. Twelve that means four groups of three so…"
Garro a strong bull headed young man: "Why groups of three and who put you in charge?"
Athen: "Groups of three should anyone prove to be a traitor then he or she can be easily stopped or the loyalist can get away. And he is a demie god cant you see the mark."
Garro: "Then that even less of a reason to trust him. I challenge you..."
Athen: "Argos is the son of Zeus if he were to use a fraction of his power you would be dead and we need all able body's to fight the beast"
Garro sitting down: "Fine but I'm keeping an eye on him my ancestors were slaves to the demie gods."
Argos: "Don't hate me for what happened in the past. My people have a reputation I know but for the sake of Tera can we move on?"
They each drew straws of different lengths to determine groups. After a while a group found a man had constructed a boat that he said a man came to him in a dream and told him to make it. The man knew not of the materials that were given to him but he had the idea in his head and made it. They accepted it as if it were a gift but the man wasn't into selling it. The metal of the boat was stronger than any on Tera, it had both sails and an engine, room for up to 15 to live conferrable. Garro, Athen, And Teros thought it look like the Argo only bigger and sealed off at the top.
Garro :"The world is ending and you wont give us a boat to save it!"
Boatsman: "No, I never did believe you. Listen to yourself a realm of gods, a 'sprit' man told you to find a boat to save it, and you came form that wild party down the street beer, drugs, and sex aren't helping your case."
Athen: "How much to buy it?"
Boatsman: "Not for sale, unless you bring me proof of any of this then we can talk."
Athen looked towards Dika and he went for small pipe to hit the man on the head. She quickly shook her head to say no, so Dika reveled himself to the man only to have him run in fear.
Dika: "I didn't mean to give the beast more power."
Garro: "You'll be the deaf of us if we live long enough."
Teros: "Quick grab the boat Garro to the dry dock we need this."
Garro: "Now were getting somewhere."
Athen: "I'm not sure we should steal this."
Teros: "I am the son of Hermes of course we should do this.
Athen: "I still don't like this."
The three moved the boat to a dry dock and when it was flooded they set off to find the others. They found a safe area and set off a flare and with in the hour the whole group was there. They had many questions about the boat but got few answers. Dika guide them to the first place they needed to go to get the fleece.
The War of the Gods
Athen, Argos, and Teros all stood on the deck of the ship at night.
Athen: "What is the war like, I mean the gods war?"
Argos: "The new gods use angles and demons to fight no more do they fight there own battles, and they can't change the life of man like the old gods. They fought with there dying bodies loosing faith from man they still care for them by using us."
Teros: "Hey Dika what do we need to do to get the fleece?"
Dika: "You need the blood of a man turned to the beast, a gem from the queen of the underworld or hell as its known now, and the eye of a hydra…oh and the bones of a god made mortal."
Athen: "Were do we get the bones?"
Dika: "You'll see the sign on a grave of the omega that is were a god was made mortal by there own power to either help humanity or be with one they loved."
Athen: "They must have really loved them to give up there immortality for them."
Argos: "Love an emotion the new gods don't feel to often anymore."
Teros: "True, but they were created to be mostly unaffected and not to affect humanity."
Argos: "Dika, what's the first thing on the list to get?"
Dika: "First to get the eye of hydra and the gem of the queen underworld and on the way down we can ask the dead for the site of a gods grave maybe even fight a beast-man"
With their plans set they head in to sleep, but Dika looked up thinking about how things were going back with the gods.
Dika: "I hate when you talk about what I'm thinking"
Warriors of the old and new gods fight for control over the realm of the gods. In there futile efforts to live not realising they rush there own deaths.
Soldier: "Hold the front line. We can't let them take our last fortress"
Commander: "We lost. Our land in this realm and all the prayers of humanity"
Soldier: "Then another religion falls down in the face of Christianity. Can nothing stop them?"
Commander: "No, they hold the mass majority at this current time and our hold on humanity has run out. Nothing left but to fade back to chaos just as the ones befo…"
A being came with a golden sword and stabbed him and another flew down and crushed the Soldier. The beings went on looking for more of there prey to kill. They are conquers and winners of this battle so they will be remembered as the heroes of this day and there victims heretics that needed to be dealt with for the greater good.
Angle: "Angeom, son of a demon and angle fighting on the right side, come on cheer up we won, we are heroes"
Angeom: "Don't let this simple victory go to you head. When you return home you'll be welcomed back as a hero but only because you are a warrior killing whole families. Try thinking for yourself and not letting another man tell you what to do."
Angle: "How can you talk like that how many have you killed today?"
Angeom: "Warriors forty-five innocence none."
Angle: "What do you mean 'innocence'?"
Angeom: "Go I will tell you later. After you have had you warriors high."
The angle left the ruins of the city they had won. Angeom sat alone looking around and read the tomes of the lost civilization that would be never touched again lost in a war chamber doomed to gather dust. As he sat there he felt a dark presents.
Angeom: "Father, what brings you here?"
Demon: "The sound of genocide and the smell of the dead. Call me by my name Lucer."
Angeom: "I know…"
Lucer: "Stop there I'm here to warn you about the beast and not the one with the six's."
Angeom: "Few even God and Satan choose to believe in the myths of old for fear they would give it strength."
Lucer: "You need to know that a man will come to you asking for help he is the last remaining relic of an older religion so don't kill him on site. The world of Tera is dying and I know you fell it a being as unusually as yourself must fell it."
Angeom: "So I'm to fight against the beast. Why should I trust you?"
Lucer is gone now and Angeom is alone once more he returns to reading the old tome. The silence is broken once more.
Dika: "Son of a B… Oh hello who are you? Never mind can you help me find my friend most likely dead. Ah yes there she is she was so nice."
Angeom: "Who are you and why have you come to this conquered land?"
Dika: "I am the unknown Roman hero Dika, I was looking for a friend for some help on how to get to hell and back. Don't spouse you would know anything about that."
Angeom thinking about what his father said: "Yes I can help you, but we must leave quickly least you end up like you friend."
Dika: "To Tera via the portal in the old Greek gods section of this realm."
They both set off and much like Argos Angeom struggles with the ocean while Dika just goes strait up.
Argos: "Man over board."
Hercus: "When'd you learn that?"
Confront the Beast
Teros: "Have a blanket stranger and tell us your tale."
Angeom: "Who you steal this blanket form son of Hermes?"
Teros: "Garro, I'm sure he won't mind it he's used to a wet blanket."
Angeom shakes the blanket away.
Angeom: "I hail form the realm of the gods and am the son of an angel and a demon a courtship that should never have happened. My father told me I was to help you fight the beast when a warrior of old came to me asking for help."
Argos: "So, what can you do for us considering your limit of not being able to help mortals directly?"
Angeom: "How does opening a portal to hell using obsidian and fire?"
Hercus: "Sounds pretty impressive if feasible."
Angeom: "When we hit land I'll show you. What is that?"
A ship only visible through the blood red lights coming from the windows. Music unlike any heard in this day and age. All the men on the ship stopped and walked to the end of the ship.
Athen: "Quick get the men in the ship. Sirens!"
Bixtry: "Listen to her they wont fight while under the spell of the siren"
Beast: "Sirens! Stop this now and leave me I come to these people peacefully."
Argos was the one farthest to he edge of the ship, he now saw the Beast looking directly in his eyes. Before he could speak the Beast was on there ship face to face with him. The men and women on board armed themselves, but Argos motioned them to put there weapons down.
Argos: "He called off the sirens if he wanted us dead he would have let them do it."
Beast: "Wise of you not to slay a guest on you ship welcome or not."
Argos: "Enough of formalities what do you want."
Beast: "You hold you fathers anger in check better than Hercules."
Hercus: "No one makes fun of my ancestor."
Hercus ran full speed at the Beast grabbed him by the thought and slammed his skull into the deck of the ship. The Beast fell then turned into snakes, spiders, and scorpion. The creatures went around the deck lost and confused before reforming the Beast. The Beast grabbed Hercus and through him off the ship onto his ship which was since now been floating towards the Argo II.
Beast: "I've come to warn you of Zeus planned betrayal of you, humanity, the gods, and the void of creation."
Argos: "You lie!"
Teros: "Being son the the master thief I'm afraid to tell you hes not lying."
Beast: "Son of Hermes tells the truth, Zeus want the cloak so he can end the war of the gods and be supreme ruler of all like he once was."
Argos: "Why would he do this he..."
Beast: "I come only to warn you now I take my leave I can only hope you make the right deci..."
Argos: "Why help us?"
Beast: "Hm, because the true reason for my being is not to end the world it is to battle the gods, if humanity is lost then I lose the fear they feel. Zeus wants me gone, for the sole purpose that he will be out lived by me. He is jealous of my truly mortal immorality."
The Beast went back on his boat to find Hercus flirting with the siren. He grabbed him by the arm and threw him back to the Argo II.
Teros: "What kind of living hell was his ship like?"
Hercus: "One I'd like to reenter."
Dika: "Speaking of hell lets go and get the eye and gem."
The gem, eye, Satan
The Group is selected by vote Angeom, Dika, Teros, and Argos the four chosen to go to Hell and get the gem and eye while the rest stayed to guard the portal. The four were getting ready to go.
Angeom: "You wont need and armor unless you weak of soul."
Argos: "Were form another religion dose that count us."
Teros: "They used to be linked."
Teros: "Ya, Jesus freed the lost souls in hades and took them to heaven to be judged."
Angeom: "The birth of one means the death of another. I'll open the portal now."
Angeom lifted his arms and red lightning struck a tree and the ground split where the the lightning struck. The portal was like lava and deathly screams could be heard from the other side. The group went in. They saw a word on fire trees bent over dead, infected, dying were all they could see. The next thing a demon of great size rammed them all and sent them flying.
Dika: "I hate this place it's one of the only i can be hurt in. Throw me a sword."
Teros: "That things four meters tall."
Argos: "Shut up and kill it."
The demon ran at Teros he shoot three arrows at him and he jumped to the side. Angeom unleashed his demon and angle wings to get to higher ground and used his bow. Dika and Argos ran up the middle swords raised and took off the demons legs while he was swinging for Anegom in the air. The demon bled out his blood poising the very lands of hell.
Teros: "What was that?"
Anegom: "A demon of pestilences."
Teros "So, we just need to find and kill the hydra?"
Anegom: "Yes, Satan keeps the hydra as a pet. He felt it a good way to punish the dammed."
Argos: "Where dose he keep it?"
Dika: "Not to worry its right over there on that chain."
The hydra sat chained to a cliff feeding on the souls who were judged unfit even for hell. Anegom explained that in capturing the creature it had its head got cut off and to show it who is in charge he cut of another of its heads.
Teros: "How do we kill it?"
Argos: "Cutting off The heads creates more, we need to either crush the heads or cut out the heart."
Angeom: "Lets go for the heart less chance of destroying the eyes."
They set out to take a large tree and tied swords to the end to make a giant spear. The group asked Arogs were he got the idea, he told them an old tale of a giant and a man wanting to go home. They lifted up the spear and moved it to a location to wait for the hydra to sleep. it took three hours for the creature to sleep. While it sleep they crept up to it and pushed the spear deep into its chest. The hydra let out a mournful scream and bleed to death as a fiery shadow came to them.
Argos: "What do you want?"
Satan: "It is fore told by the rulers of the old underworld that a son of Zeus will change the realm of the gods forever. I'm here to make sure you don't screw it up and destroy all realms. Take an eye, my wife will be here soon to give you the gem."
Queen of Hell: "Here take this."
The wife of Satan gave them an obsidian gem with frozen blood at its center. The team headed back to the portal Argos and Angeom stayed back to talk to Satan.
Argos: "What do you mean I am to change the realm of the gods? Why help me?"
Satan: "The ones who lord over the underworlds care more for humanity that they know. The gods get the love of them without doing any thing, they stopped caring for them. You are foretold to be the one who shows the gods the error of their ways."
Argos ran to catch up with the rest while Angeom talked to Satan. When Angeom caught up to them they went threw the portal. They were greeted with the site of dead crew scorch marks everwere, and the Argo II destroyed.
The Time Gone
Just after the group went throw the portal on the boat Argo II.
Bixtry: "With them off to get the gem and eye maybe we could find the bones."
Garro: "Look over there."
Garro: "You don't see that?"
Garro went over to a small mound with a stone on it with words written in a forgotten language. What he saw was a ghost of a man.
Ghost: "Dig here the dead of a man who gave up my body to save humanity. Use my bones to save this world again."
Garro: "It's a braille mound of a god who became a man."
Bixtry: "How can you tell?"
Garro: "I don't know."
The ghost faded away as they started to dig. They found a coffin with a symbols written in blood on it. After forcing it open the ghost reappeared and entered the skeleton. As the flesh was returning he gave out an evil laugh.
Ghost: "Fools now I can take my vengeance on those who sealed me in this body. Bouic Is Reborn "
Bixtry: "Garro what did you have us do?"
Garro: "I thought it was another friendly ghost, like Dika"
As they talked Bouic raised his hand and blew away there ship, killing all on board. He turned his attention to the ones on land.
Bouic: "You will join me and be my heralds for this new world to know its doom."
Garro: "I will put you back in that box you foul beast."
Bouic: "You don't need to be alive for me to use you body."
Just then Garro griped a gift from his dead father, A hammer. With its; summons came down lightning and thunder all around. He spun it faster and faster then as the hammer was struck by lightning he let it go and it slammed right down in front of Bouic. As he unleashed laughter again and explosion of lightning erupted form the hammer.
Bouic: "AHH. You will pay for this."
Garro: "No, Athen Bixtry finish him that drained me."
Bixtry: "Oh with pleasure."
Athen: "We should never take pleasure in killing."
Bixtry and Athen ran up to Bouic and at once struck him and waste and neck. The three parts fell to the ground. Bouic turned back into the bones form whence he then the team of Teros, Argos, Angeom, and Dika came thought the portal. Only after looking around Teros spoke up.
Teros: "I know time is different form the underworld but what the frak happened?"
Athen, Bixtry, and Garro explained what happened and that they have the bones. The group left went to Mount Olympus by a less glamours way than boat, bus. When they arrived at the base of the mountain they found a glowing stone.
Garro: "So now what?"
Argos: "The bone fits here, the gem here, and the eye goes umm."
Athen: "It goes there at the base of the rock."
With the eye placed the base of the mountain opened to a temple of the golden cloak. They simply walked in and out without problem. On their exit they saw Zeus and the Beast waiting for them.
The Cloak and the Choice
Beast: "Good Argos now you can use the cloak to seal the realms."
Zeus: "No he wishes to use you by sealing the realms he would cut off the gods from man."
Beast: "The realms need to be sealed in order to stop a worse threat to the world."
Zeus: "All lies he is evil and craves power."
Argos: "SILENCE. I have the cloak. I am the chosen one. I shall to chose who to help."
Argos: "Beast how can I use this cloak to heal the realms."
Zeus grabbed Athen and made a blade out of lightning and out it to her throat.
Argos: "Let her go."
Zeus: "Give me the cloak."
The Beast faded into the air and reformed behind Zeus and grabbed him by the head. With him in his hold the Beast caused Zeus last holdings to this realm to be severed and faded away.
Zeus: "I just wanted to be again."
Argos: "Why did you do that?"
Beast: "Zeus did things that he must answer to a higher power. He wanted to force humanity to worship him again so he wouldn't die"
Argos: "What do you mean a higher power?"
Beast: "The ancient. "
Argos head spinning with questions he noticed Ahten down on the ground he ran to her.
Argos: "Ahten are you alright?"
Ahten: "Yeah, now."
Garro: "What do we do know?"
Beast: "You must find temples and use the cloak to heal the realm and the earth. I must go to the realm of the gods and fix things there. A monk of the old gods will find you and help you when you are ready."
