Shadows

The dark shadows fell across the room, giving life to the darkness within. She laid there, huddled under the blanket. She held a small doll.

Creaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaak!

Her eyes went wide with terror. She felt her heart beating fast, threatening to burst from her rib cage. The adrenaline was rushing now.

Something took shape amidst the darkness. It slithered across the room at a fast pace. Pretty soon she saw glowing green eyes full of malice.

She thought she saw a dark, clawed hand reach out for her. A sinister grin graced the creature's face, flashing its white teeth at her.
