Alex rarely went out at night but Cale had promised he had something amazing to show her and she trusted him, the young brunette had waited by the grand phoenix fountain in the univertsity courtyard. It was an incredible piece of art made of white marble, the magnificent bird seemed to rise out of the water its wings spread and it's strong posture evoked a sense of pride. The cool liquid ran over the smooth marble and droplets could be seen rolling off prominante edges such as the beak or talons, Alex was so lost in her own world watching the water she didn't notice Cale was there until he wrapped his arm around her waist. Alex smiled as a feeling of safety washed over her and she ran her hand up his forearm leaning back onto him as they embraced. "About time you showed up." She teased him as he moved away to stand in front of her, in the moonlight every detail on him stood out and Alex was left a little breathless at his beauty. "Come on I want to show you something." Cale smiled at her and waited for his companion to be by his side before walking, the pair exchanged little words as they made their way off the university grounds but it was a comfortable silence. Alex was happy taking in the sheer beauty of the stars that could clearly be seen on such a cloudless night there was a mysterious feel in the crisp air but it wasn't threatening. A forest soon come into view and Alex glanced at Cale curiously but said nothing as she continued to follow him, stepping into the woods Alex picked up on a more enchating feel and her chocolate orbs gazed around at the new environment.
The thick trunks of the trees would block out the moonlight causing it to turn into rays and it was a stunning sight, breathing in Alex could smell the pine and refreshing scent of the exotic plants and flowers that grew here. "Cale where are we going?" Breaking the silence Alex looked across at the male a small smile gracing her plush lips, she was curious and she doubted he would tell her. "You'll see." He grinned back at her excitment shimmering in his eyes, Alex couldn't help but chuckle softly at being right in that he wouldn't say and she didn't have to wait long to find out what he had brought her out here for. "Close your eyes." Cale whispered softly taking her hand in his and she obeyed him following his lead. For a few minutes she was left in complete darkness with no idea where they were going and her brow furrowed in confusion as she heard a faint roaring some where in the distance. "Okay. Open." Being brought to a stop and hearing it was okay to peek Alex opened her eyes and was left speechless at what she saw. They were on a small cliff that looked down into a little valley, in the center was a lake and looking across to her right Alex could see a magnificent waterfall. The moon and stars were reflected flawlessly in the lake and the light just bounced off the water giving it an eerie yet enchanting glow, the brunette just stood and allowed herself to absorb such a beautiful sight. "It's incredible." She whispered her eyes fixed upon the scene in front of her. "It sure is."
Cale commented and Alex turned to look at him to find he was gazing at her, blushing Alex shoved him playfully and the pair laughed at the moment. "You know I wasn't expecting to find anyone out tonight but it looks like I hit the jack pot." A male voice rang out and Alex turned to find the source, instantly her henna orbs came to rest on a well dressed man who on appearances looked to be in his late 30's but she sensed he was a lot older. Cale put a protective arm in front of her as he stepped forward his features cold and stone like, Alex couldn't take her eyes off this strange man something about him made her feel threatened. "What do you want?" Cale asked sternly at the man simply laughed and it seemed to echo menacingly through the woods. "Some fun." He shrugged before waving his arm out sending Cale flying 15 feet to the right. "Cale!" Alex felt her heart stopped as he was wrenched away from her and went to run forward to him before she was flung back falling heavily to the floor. Coughing she looked up to see Cale on his feet summoning all of his strength and speed to get in at least one hit on their attacker but failed as he was struck time and time again by the mysterious male. Alex pushed herself up off the floor and felt her power surge through her body as she curled her fingers into her palm as if she was going to clench her fist but not fully.
The attacker paused and cleared his throat as he felt her crasp his heart but it didn't seem to effect him as badly, closing her fingers a little more to increase the pressure he closed his eyes and Cale saw an opportune moment to strike. But as his fist hurtled towards the opposing male he suddenly threw back his arms sending out a shock wave that once again sent Cale flying back and knocked Alex off her feet. In a blink of an eye he disappeared to reappear behind the brunette, grabbing a handful of her hair he pulled her up off the floor, Alex clawed at his hands but it did little to shake him off. "You're a fiesty one." He smirked as he kissed her neck and Alex tried to move away in disgust. In one swift motion he grabbed her shirt and threw her in the opposite direction to Cale, she hit a tree with a sickening thud and fell lifeless to the floor. The man simply smirked and walked off to find his main victim, if anyone else had been in the woods they would've heard a disturbing beating with flesh hitting an assortment of objects and the occassional bone snap. For Alex she was unconcious and it took a while for her to come to, disorientated and sore she slowly got to her feet using the tree she had been brutally thrown against as support. Shaking she cautiously moved through the woods in the direction she assumed Cale would be her slender fingers brushing against the rough bark of each tree she had to lean against in order to keep herself upright. Terror was the only thing she could feel right now, she was alone in the woods with no idea what had happened to Cale, she didn't even know if he was still alive.
Coming into a clearing she could see a figure lying on the floor and she felt her stomach lurch as she rushed forwards, falling to her knees she turned the body over and sobbed seeing Cales's face. "Cale?" She whispered stroking his blood stained cheek and was surprised as he mumbled something to her. "I need..." His words were breathless as he tried to communicate with her. "I need...blood." He could barely talk and Alex looked down at him fear present in her dark orbs, shaking her head she didn't know what to do, demon blood was highly addictive to vampires and she didn't know if Cale would be able to stop once he got a drop. But seeing him in this state broke her heart and she couldn't live with herself if he died, looking down at her wrist she took a moment or two to seriously debate what her options were in her head. Nothing looked promising. Alex closed her eyes and nibbled her lower lips as she lifted Cale's head up and pressed her wrist to his mouth. "Drink." She whispered softly and Cale sunk his fangs into her flesh, she gasped at the sudden pinch and instantly her blood flowing into her mouth awakened him as he clutched at her arm feeding hungrily. Alex watched as he fed from her and her breathing became more laboured, her whole body tingled with pleasure and she realised it was actually turning her on. Cale had never felt like this before, her blood was electric and gave him an incredible buzz as he continued to feed from her wrist. Alex whimpered in pleasure and grabbed a handful of his shirt in order to stop herself from just jumping on him but she began to feel faint and the color was draining from her face. "Cale. Cale stop." She whispered but her sighs and whimpers of pleasure only encouraged him to keep drinking, Alex mustered all the strength she had left and wrenched her wrist away from him and fell back feeling weak. Lying on the floor she craddled her arm and looked at Cale who was fully healed and struggling to control his inner animalistic need to kill her.
