So here's a poem I wrote in the middle of math class (yet another one) inspired by, yup you guessed it, a rainy day
Rainy Day
Raindrops falling like a thousand liquid diamonds
Like the gods poured some of heaven down
To wash away the damage inflicted by mortals
To give them a second chance
Breath comes out in short white puffs
As the urge to run and jump and splash
Blooms in your stomach
Laughter tinkles out into the cold air
Nippy air reduces noses to red
Tenacious weather makes us turn to blankets
To fireplaces
To hot chocolate
To warmth
Yet you like the cold air
It invigorates you
Every cell
Every nerve
Is alive with excitement
Sharp as a tack
But then the sun comes out
And ruins your fun
But you smile and wait
For the next rainy day
Reviews are lovely!
