Your eyes are so captivating

They aren't clear and shimmering

But light and opaque

With thought and emotion

With a lasting peace

Or is it a wall?

To keep us out

To keep me out

I know you can see

The raging battle in me

One side wants to speak

But the other one knows

Knows how to read your eyes

They silence my thoughts

And leave me open

For you to see everything

And I know you understand

My feelings

You won't say anything

Nor will you eyes

They bring me to life

Then crush me into nothing

Because the eyes are a mirror

To the soul of everyone

And I know you see mine

Yet, I don't think

I will ever see yours
