Epilogue: two years later

Waking up in her room at her friend's house, Mel couldn't believe that today she was going to finally become a family with Jackson.

Squealing she got out of her bed, gazing at the dress that was draped over her closet door.

Walking up to the satin lace, Mel imagined her family being there at the ceremony.

Tears began to form before Mel reminded herself what Jackson had told her.

Imagining him standing before her, she could hear his voice clear as if he was here with her.

"There here in your heart, where they can always be with you where ever this life's adventure takes you"

Mel placed her hand on her heart and thanked her family that they could be here on her special day.

Taking one long look out the window, Mel's heart began to beat, beat to the rhythm of the song she felt in her heart.

Humming to the melody, Mel's friend came up to help her into the gown, the gown as pure as snow.

Jackson couldn't believe that today, his Melody would become his song.

Standing up with the pastor, Jackson could see that his side of the pews would have been empty,

hadn't Mel insisted that they wouldn't separate the crowed since she too didn't have anybody to honor the seats of the front.

Just then the wedding song budded into his thoughts, Jackson turned to face the doors as they opened.

He felt like he'd died and gone on to heaven.

Walking down the aisle, his beautiful beyond words, Melody looked like an angel.

Holding out his hand, he took her from Turner, who had done the honor of leading Mel down the aisle.

Smiling at her they turned to face the pastor, the past left beyond the door.

Mel stood in front of the cottage, one similar to the one she had once watched burn down.

The burning feeling of revenge long gone from her heart, instead it was filled with love to her husband,

the man who stood next to her through the painful moments of her life.

Like today, when they were to finally move into the completed cottage Jackson had built for her.

The Mystery of her Life solved, with a song in her heart, Mel knew that she'd finally found her second beginning.

Placing a hand on her belly, she felt her unborn child agreeing with her, telling her what a great example she had become.

Taking Jackson's hand, Mel moved forward, towards a new start that held happiness.
