"Put your hands where we can see them!" After so long, those long six years, this is the closest Interpol has had them at gunpoint. Normally, they would be eating their dust when they make their escape by now; they made a mistake in being so careless. As they stood and looked among the dozens of S.W.A.T. standing with semi-automatic guns in their hands, protected with black body pads, helmets, and combat boots, they might be outdone. There was nowhere to run, if they moved now, they would risk getting cut down by a barrage of bullets. Omni clenched his tonfas and glared at them, his eyes burning something fierce. Sergei saw the look in his little brother's eyes and knew what it meant. He was ready to fight, even f it meant he would be shot down. Sergei tried to think of way to escape before their patience wore out. He nervously patted his pockets and felt a lump. He reached into his pocket and the S.W.A.T. team cocked their guns and aimed infrared lights at their heads.

"Oh thank God," Sergei said to himself. Omni glanced over at his brother and saw a look of relief on his face, almost worry free. Omni shifted a little, just enough to nudge Sergei on his shoulder. He then looked at Omni with a reassuring look and winked at him. Omni looked confused and began to speak but Sergei cut him off shaking his head.

"Omni, let's do what the nice officer says and raise our hands up," Sergei said aloud, slowly raising his hands above his head. Omni couldn't understand why he's being so submissive, after so long of being on the run, didn't make sense to him. He raised his hands up, his fists still gripping his prized tonfas. With the lights still beaming on their foreheads, they stood there with their hands up and their guard down. "Get ready to run," Sergei whispered to him. Without a moment to respond, Sergei threw down his right arm and released a fistful of smoke bombs. It sounded like the fourth of July, the bombs exploding with cracks, pops, and booms. A wall of smoke enveloped the two brothers from sight, giving them a moment to run.

"C'mon, get the lead out man!" Omni didn't have to be asked twice. He's seen it in enough movies to know to run when smoke bombs go off. Just then, Interpol began shooting aimlessly into the smoke cloud, shattering glass cases and ricocheting bullets off of metal frames. A bullet flew dangerously close to Omni's and two other bullets nearly hit Sergei in his back, luckily he stumbled forward and the two bullets shattered a large vase and he picked himself up quickly and kept running. The two continued to run until they entered the foyer of the museum, the main desk at the door's entrance to the side and several levels of different exhibits and rooms. "Aw damn, the hell are we gonna do now man? They might be waiting out in the front for us," Sergei said despairingly. Omni looked back and heard the team getting closer and closer.

"We either get plowed in the back or the front, make up your mind," Omni said semi-calmly. Sergei looked at his little brother and twisted his face at him, as if he smelled terrible. It took a minute for it to register with Omni until he caught on and shuddered. "Ah gross man, you perv!" "Well you said it!" Two bullets flew between them and they looked back to see several S.W.A.T. officers running towards them with their semi-automatics in hand.

"Screw this dude, we're taking the front!" Sergei said finally. Omni stopped him before he took off and pushed him in the direction of a flight of stairs. They made their way up the stairs while the several officers trailed behind them, randomly taking shots and missing them by inches. They kept running and turning around corners, the heat still on their tails. As they made their way up the second flight of stairs, they were confronted by an officer standing in their way. Omni rushed him without thinking, ducking under the swing of the rifle and punched him in the stomach. The officer doubled over and Omni smashed him over the head with the pair of tonfas, knocking him out instantly. Omni stood over the officer with a shocked look on his face, not being able to believe he knocked him out. Sergei hopped over the downed officer and pushed his stunned little brother onwards, insisting he'll be alright. They started to run again up another flight of stairs, Omni still shaken up a little.

"I've never hit anyone like that ever... I did it without thinking, I hope he ain't dead." Sergei patted Omni on his shoulder and smiled at him. He told him he did what he had to do, otherwise, they would have been arrested or shot down. Omni nodded uneasily and shook it off. The two then made their up another flight of stairs where there were no displays or exhibits, but there was a sign with bold red letters saying, "Authorized personnel only," over a small flight of stairs that were chained off. That seemed like an exit to the rooftops. They hopped the chains and Sergei kicked the locked door open. Icy wind blew in past them, sending a chill up both their spines. They bumped fists with each other and exited the museum, closing the door quietly behind them. Omni stuck his tonfas in his pockets and rubbed his hands together, blowing his breath on them. Sergei dug in his jacket pockets and pulled out the diamond, still intact.

"Great use of the smoke bombs," Omni said smiling, hands in his pockets. Sergei nodded and put the diamond back in his pockets. He looked at his brother, who was kicking his foot back and forth, whistling the intro to Glad You Came by the Wanted. He was worried back there, they were at the end of their rope and their backs to the wall. They got lucky is all, next time they won't be so fortunate. Sergei walked over to his little brother and wrapped an arm around his shoulder and hugged him.

"Look Omni, I know we got what we needed but we need to be more careful next time okay?" Omni nodded, still kicking his foot back and forth. Sergei looked at his watch again. 12:02. "Damn, we need to get home soon and rest so we can have the energy to give the joker to Sax later on." Sax was their dealer, they stole priceless items from various places and turn them in to him for cash. Depending on what they're giving to him, he'll pay them a few grand to last them a while. When they ran low on cash they would plan a heist or Sax would contact them. He would send his personal assistants with an assignment for them with something specific. They always get the job done and he trusts that they always will no matter what.

They had just begun walking when the S.W.A.T. team burst through the door, infrared lights shining out at them. They turned and ran quickly, guns cracking off in the cold night air. They hopped over to the next rooftop, barely avoiding the barrage of bullets flying behind them. They got twenty feet away from the team but the infrared lights were making the bullets more difficult to avoid. Soon enough, the commander ordered them to cease fire. She stepped forward through the group with a sniper propped on her shoulder. She was at least 5'7", her long blonde hair tied back into a tight ponytail, her lips full with a light shade of pink. Her blue eyes were gentle but with a hardened edge to them. She crouched down on one knee and loaded her sniper rifle. She closed one eye and scoped the two still running. She aimed carefully, trying to lock on one of them. She gently bit her bottom lip and pulled the trigger. BANG! She shot one bullet and all she could rely on is luck.

On the other end, the boys thought they had gotten away, they were home free they thought. All was fine until they hopped over to another rooftop and the lucky bullet the commander fired caught Sergei in the shoulder in mid-jump. Sergei howled in pain as he continued to fly forward, the power of his jump depleting. He caught the edge of the building with his other hand, his right arm completely limp. Omni landed and tumbled over onto his side, seeing his brother dangling over the edge. He jumped to his feet and ran over to Sergei, who was losing his grip. Before Omni could get there, Sergei lost his grip and began to drop when Omni leaped over the side and caught him in the nick of time. Omni's stomach was bent over the side of the building, his feet holding onto a small air vent. He exhaled deeply and looked at his brother with a light smile.

"Hey man, how's it goin'?" Omni asked banteringly. Sergei groaned and sucked in a breath, shaking his head, trying to shake off his pain. He licked his lips and sighed exasperatedly.

"Well, if you must know, I am hanging on for dear life and I was just shot in the shoulder," Sergei said with a fake smile. Omni scoffed and chuckled, looking his brother in the eye. "And thankfully, you're still alive," Omni said laughing. He gripped his arm with both hands and tried to pull him up. Sergei sure did weigh a lot for a skinny guy Omni thought to himself. In the position he was in, he tried to pull him up carefully so he didn't lose his grip. Omni mustered out more of his strength to pull his brother up, Sergei planted his feet to the wall to give him support. Omni then tugged once more but made a mistake and lost grip on the air vent. They both fell down, screaming and flipping around in the air.

"I swear to God, if we survive this, I'm gonna kick your ass Omni!" It was a sheer forty foot drop but lucky enough that there were old wire clotheslines hanging between the buildings. They both bounced and flipped off of clotheslines, desperately trying to catch onto a line. Omni caught onto a line before Sergei and he kept falling until he finally caught one, ten feet above the ground. The line broke and Sergei dropped straight down on his feet and fell over. Omni's line also broke and he fell on his back onto top of a dumpster and bounced onto the cold, hard ground. As the boys lay on the ground, breathing heavily, Omni broke the silence with laugh.

"Look man, we're... we're still alive, hahaha..." Omni said weakly. Sergei shot a glare at his little brother. "Shut up Omni... laughing at a time like this," Sergei said coldly. He tried to help himself up the ground but fell back down. He was badly hurt and he was getting dizzy from the the loss of blood. Omni got to his feet and took off his scarf and sat Sergei upright. Omni took off Sergei's jacket and pulled up his shirt up. Omni cringed at the sight of his blood stained skin. His muscles were throbbing. He observed the hole where the bullet hit him and scratched the top of his head.

"I love you man, I hate to do this but I have to dig out the bullet before it breaks up and spreads lead into your bloodstream." Sergei swallowed hard and his breath quickened. Omni could feel his heartbeat through his back. Omni sighed and patted Sergei on his back. He then proceeded to dig into the bullet wound with two fingers, Sergei arched his back and gritted his to keep from yelling. Sergei's warm blood began to flow more the deeper Omni dug his fingers. He was two inches deep in his back when he felt the bullet. He gripped it the best he could and yanked it out, making Sergei yell out and cursing under his breath. Omni tossed the bullet to the side and tied his scarf tight around his shoulder. "There ya go, all better!" Omni said with a satisfied smile.

"But, this is your favorite scarf... I'll get it all bloody," Sergei objected. Omni waved him off and helped him to his feet. Sergei stumbled forward but Omni caught his by his chest. Omni licked his lips and looked around, the cold night dimly light by the moon. Omni clutched his sore back and popped his spine. They were both hurt, tired, and cold. Omni looked over to the dumpster he fell on and looked inside it. It was empty.

"Not the ideal spot but we can camp inside here," Omni said as he sniffed inside of it, "it don't smell too bad neither, smells like old gym socks." Sergei opened his mouth to say something but Omni had already hopped in the dumpster. He heard a hiss and vicious snarl when the top flew open and he saw Omni tossing out an angry alley cat. He told the cat sorry for stepping on its tail as it looked at him then turned away, walking down the alley. Sergei made his over to the dumpster and crawled in, plopping right next to Omni, who was curled up in the corner already. Sergei stretched out his legs, pulled his hood over his head, and laid back on the walls of the dumpster. Sergei laughed to himself, he never thought he would ever be spending the night in a trash can. Omni heard his brother laugh and grinned.

"See? If you can find something to laugh about, you'll feel better. We might be a bit smelly in the morning but we'll be safe, the heat will never find us in here," Omni said drowsily. Omni rubbed his eyes and rolled onto his side, telling Sergei good night. Sergei reached up with his left hand and closed the lid, enclosing them in darkness and concealing them from the cold. It really does smell like old gym socks in here Sergei thought to himself. He yawned and stretched out his legs again, making sure not to kick Omni by accident. From the loss of blood and fatigue, Sergei drifted off to sleep without knowing it. The two sleep quietly in the dumpster behind an old building for the night, safe from Interpol and warm enough to sleep comfortably.
