~Chapter 4~
I woke up last, and shuffled upstairs where everyone was having breakfast in front of the TV. Natasha was eating a slice of toast and singing along to the program she was watching. Everyone else was finishing up eating, and I just plopped myself groggily onto the sofa and rubbed my eyes.
Stupid time zones.
"Good, you're awake!" Yacqoub Khalo said.
I groaned and buried my face in a pillow.
"You want some breakfast, Memona?" Mum asked me.
"I'm not hungry." My voice was muffled.
"Fine then, but don't tell me you're hungry later." She warned.
"Mmmhmm." I wasn't listening.
"Hurry up and get ready, we'll be leaving soon." Yacqoub Khalo stood up and began clearing the used dishes.
"Why so early?" I yawned.
No reply.
Natasha ran up to me smiling, holding up her empty plate. "All done!"
"That's good." I forced a tired smile. She was still in her night suit, and her hair resembled a bird's nest. I took her plate and handed it to Yacqoub Khalo.
"Can you get Natasha dressed, Memona?" He asked.
"Sure." I stood up and took her hand.
So I chased her with the tooth brush and comb, wrestled a dress on her, and pushed clips in her curly brown hair while she wasn't looking. Oh, the things it takes to get her dressed.
And after that ordeal was done, we went back into the living room where Natasha twirled her dress for everyone while they complemented her.
The joys of being a troublesome 2 year old.
"So where are we going?" I asked Dad while he drank his chai.
"The park." He replied simply.
"And then?"
"You'll see, Memona."
"Why does no one want to tell me where we're going?" I was clearly annoyed.
"I just did." Dad replied.
I raised my eyebrow.
Smart comments?
Yeah, he got that from me.
I threw up my arms. "Fine, don't tell me."
And so we walked a short distance to BBC Park, and Natasha immediately scurried off to the swing set.
Oh no,
Not the swing set!
She climbed up and seated herself on a swing. "Push me, Memona!"
I groaned. "Why can't you let Marium push you?"
"But you're my favourite!"
I did not sign up for this.
"Good luck." Marium smirked.
I grumbled and went to over to push Natasha.
Then after what must have been an hour, Natasha got off the swing and Sara Khala announced it was time to go.
I couldn't feel my arms.
We got back home shortly, and then piled into the car.
"Is someone going to tell me where we're going or not? Cause I have a right to know." I demanded.
"Chill dude, we're going to your twin's." Arif replied, trying to sound cool but it's obviously not working.
"That's it? You could've at least told me before."
"I just found out, dude."
"Don't call me that."
"Okay dude."
"Don't make me hit you, Arif!"
"What's the matter, dude?" He started grinning.
"I'm not a dude!" I smacked the back of his head.
"OW!" He rubbed where I hit him, and then reeled his fist back about to punch me.
"Do you really think that's a good idea?"
He thought for a second, then put his fist down in defeat.
"Yeah, I didn't think so." I smirked.
The perks of being a black belt.
When everyone was settled in nicely, (and by that I mean completely squished) the car was stared and we began our journey to my twin's, who lives in a big house in the suburbs.
Well, he's not actually my twin. It's kind of a long story.
Well, maybe not that long. But I suppose you'd want to hear it anyway. So here it goes.
So it all starts with Mum and her old friend from college. They were besties. Anyway, they both got pregnant, and it just so happened that we were born in the same hospital, at the same time, with their hospital rooms right beside each other. Heck, our mums even gave us similar names. And everyone is convinced he's the guy version of me.
His name's Memon. (Rhymes with lemon)
And I think we're here.
Author's Note: Hello lovelies :D
Really hope you liked this chapter (even though it really went nowhere) and if you did or didn't, I'd love to hear from you.
Sorry it was so short, though. I promise the next one will be a lot longer.
Just wait until you meet Memon, you'll love him!
Until next chapter~
