My newest story is now up, whoo hoo. I hope you guys like it :)
"So…you're my new roommate?" My blue eyes fixed on the fragile looking boy that sat cross-legged on his neon purple bed sheets.
I squinted a bit, he already had started decorating while I was in class, and it wasn't really my choice of style. I preferred gray scale; it seemed classier, and yet simple, and nothing hung on my walls, not even photos of my family, just a picture of my twin brother on my nightstand. I always kept things a bit quieter. But he…well, he filled his side with bright rainbows and posters of anime characters, making the pretty small dorm fill with some pretty intense contras.
"Yes." He smiled warmly at me; his mono-lidded black eyes seemed to glow with over excitement and joy.
"Okay. Cool." I dropped my medical textbook on the floor, not bothering to be gently with it, and let out an exhausted sigh.
Without bothering to take off my chucks, I fell against my gray bed spread, collapsing onto the feather soft mattress.
"Totally!" The boy picked lightly at his nails, before jumping up from his bed and stretching. "Well, enough of a break, gotta finish unpacking!" He grinned, as he I practically ran around, grabbing at things and setting them up. He started adding photos to the wall, hanging pictures of what seemed to be a happy Asian family of three.
"You're kinda fruity, aren't you?" I snickered, watching him as he set up purple curtains over his window.
He froze, and looked at me a bit terrified.
I sat up. "What?" I asked nervously.
"Well…there's something I kinda wanted to tell you…" He said, sitting slowly on his bed and facing me, though his eyes stayed glued to the pasty carpet floor.
"What?" I asked.
As he struggled to find words I stood up, stretching a bit before removing my lazy shirt, getting ready to go out.
I felt his stare on me, and I turned to him.
His thin lips parted slightly, his eyes fixed on my body.
"Hey, dude." I snapped my fingers in front of him, trying to get his attention.
"Huh?" He asked, looking up to meet my eyes.
"You were staring at me." I scoffed.
"O-oh! Sorry!" He blushed bright pink, and turned his eyes away from me, and back on the floor.
"Don't sweat it." I said. "What were you gonna tell me?"
He turned an even deeper shade, before opening his mouth and blurting, "I'm gay!"
He flinched slightly, as if expecting me to lash out or something.
I simply shrugged.
"My brother was gay. I'm not homophobic." I said evenly.
"Oh thank god." He breathed, placing his hand over his chest and smiling. "I was so worried."
"But, um, what did you mean by 'was'?"
"Doesn't matter." I said quickly, before adding, "I'm fine with whatever. Just don't touch me." I chuckled as I ran my fingers through my shaggy brown hair.
"Oh, don't worry, I have a boyfriend." He smiled, before looking me over again and adding with a sly smile. "And you're not really my type."
"I don't know if I should be offended or pleased." I grinned a bit.
"Take it whichever way you like." He laughed, flipping his pitch-black hair from in his face.
I laid back down and waited as he rumbled through his backpack.
It wasn't exactly time for me to go yet, but it almost felt awkward being in the same room with someone else.
I sat up startled as I felt something heavy land on my bed.
The boy sat there, at the foot of my bed with a bag of skittles in his slender hand.
Did he really just jump on me?!
When I didn't reply, he continued to speak. "My name is Hideki, by the way." He narrowed his already narrow eyes at the package as he tired his hardest to open it.
"I'm Aaron." I said.
He bit his tongue a bit, before opening his mouth to speak again. "With an A or an E?"
"Funny, because my boyfriend's name is Erin. But with an E. He's really cute." He smiled a bit. "I'm sure you'd adore him if you met him. Everyone ones. Just keep your hands to yourself." He giggled, though his laughter died as he managed to rip the wrapping open violently, launching the rainbow colored candies all over my bed. "Dang it!"
I started to pick them up, one by one. "I'm straight, by the way."
"Trust me, hun, my baby turns straight man bi." He laughed as he cupped his hands. I poured my finding into his tiny palms.
"We'll wait and see." I joked.
He only smiled in response. "So, want some?" He offered again, holding out his hands.
I took out 5, one of each color.
The second my fingers pulled away, he shoved the remainder in his mouth, puffing out his cheeks to fit it all.
His smile seemed to spread from ear to ear, and with a mouth full of candy, he started to look a lot like a chipmunk.
I busted out laughing.
"Y-you, you should put on a shirt…" He said once he swallowed.
"Nah…Wait, does it…does it bother you?" I asked.
"N-not really! I mean, you're really buff." He commented, his eyes following over my outline.
I looked down at my arms and flexed a bit. "Yeah, I guess. I work out when I'm stressed. And in college, that's kind of a lot."
"Can I feel?" He asked.
My throat felt dry as I looked at him, his eyes glued to my arms.
Slowly, I extended mine, allowing him, though as his fingers approached my skin, a ringtone blared.
"I wanna be the very best that no one ever was!"
I recognized it immediately.
"Oh, my phone!" He literally fell from my bed to scramble his way to his drawers.
"You have the Pokemon Theme Song as your ringtone?" I chuckled.
"Of course! I am Japanese."
"Well, I'm white. You don't see many of my people in America."
He giggled, filling the room with a sense of happiness. "You're funny."
I decided then I liked him. Better than living alone for sure.
"Oh my god, where the freak is my phone?" He yelled out frustrated.
"Where the 'freak'?"
"Oh, another thing about me, I don't curse. Like ever."
"Well okay." I said, glancing around the room. "Isn't that it right there?" I pointed a tiny baby blue touch screen that was on the floor.
"Yes!" He pounced on it, though the second his pale fingers touched it, it stopped ringing.
"Crap face!" He yelled.
Almost immediately, his laptop started to ring.
"Skype!" He yelled, going up to the computer and smashing in his password.
I walked up behind him and peered over his thin shoulder curiously as he answered the call.
"Hey baby!" He said cheerfully to the black screen.
"My webcam's busted…Why didn't you answer your phone?" I heard a man say.
He had a deep voice, almost sounding like Aaron Hotcher from Criminal Minds. Of course, this guy, spoke rude, mean, with an almost violent undertone.
"Busy, baby." Hideki answered quietly, his cheerful mood suddenly gone.
He must've saw me lingering behind Hideki, because he turned his attention onto me. "Who is behind you? One day in college and you're already cheating?"
"Huh?" Hideki looked behind himself, catching sight of me. "Oh, no!" He blushed, turning back to the laptop.
"He's shirtless. Is this what you want? Us to break up over a fucking computer because you can't keep your legs shut?"
"I-I'll…just go…" I said awkwardly, backing away from the computer.
"Who is he? What's his name? Do you even know it? Or are you giving it away to just anyone over there?"
I pulled on the first shirt I got out of my drawer, and left a very flustered Hideki behind to talk to his crazy as fuck boyfriend.
And that's it for chapter one. Please make sure to review so I know if I should bother continuing it. thank you :D
