"Hey Terry," Gordy asked, his eyes not leaving the book.

"Hnn?"

"Would you…"

"No I won't," the girl replied.

"Not that, man. I meant.."

"Dunno, don't care." Her eyes were fixed on the laptop screen and wasn't going to leave it at any moment.

"Argh, just shut up and hear me out."

"Don't wanna."

Ignoring the reply, Gordy asked, "Would you date me as a last resort?"

A few moments of awkward silence passed as Terry glared at her bet friend.

"Something on my face?" Gordy asked.

"What the hell is wrong with you.." she mumbled as her fingers danced over the keyboard once more.

"Sorry?"

"Agh, just shut up."

Minutes passed.

Still the silence wasn't broken until the tomboy looked up, face flushed, as she replied, "Maybe. Or maybe not."

"Whaddya mean?"

"You could be the first one for all I care."

The two of them blushed as the words hung in the air.

"Love you too Terry."

They went back to their own business.
