"Hey Sue, how are you? I need some advice?" Bella said as she talked over the phone with her best friend Sue.

"Um..." there was silence on the other side of the line.

"Sue you still there? Common girl talk to me, I'm going through a crisis here".

Bella exclaimed as Sue continued not to speak.

As sue listen to Bella complain, her own heart hurt with grief for the father she ever loved the one.

who could give everything to keep life going on up until her father's old friend heard of his sickness and came to help.

Flashback

Sue stood behind the door finally listening to what her fathers friend had been saying. For 20 long minutes bitterness closed the truth from her.

Inside the room the man signed deeply, looked john straight into the eyes and quoted: 'Jesus said to the man "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me."'

"John, this verse says you must believe that Jesus died for you on the cross to get in to heaven. There is no other way; we sinners have to repent and believe to even have the heart to accept that gift. Do you understand this?

The man looked up wiping a stray tear. "How do i get the gift pastor, i need it badly." His friend looked into the johns fiery lightened eyes, and felt his mist over.

"Do you believe?"

John nodded fiercely.

Reading a few more verses, the sick man had asked his to help him to his knees.

After the man finished last, praying for a blessing on the new believer's path, john practically jumped back into his sick-bed.

Not too far from the door stood Sue listening to what his friend had said she too had wanted the gift.

After all the years of bitterness and pain towards a God she never had known, Sue was ready to give her whole life so she could be free.

After praying hard for forgiveness, she too accepted Christ into her heart. She hoped with all her heart that her mother had known Christ as well.

In the room the man lay back down on the bed. "Now i am not afraid to die. Can you send my daughter in please."

the man smiled as his new brother in Christ when in search of his daughter.

Sue came into the room and rushed to her father's side.

John raised his hand and ran it down her cheek.

"Oh how I wish your mother could have told me the glorious news of heaven, earlier before she died.

Now I can die in peace knowing that when, I die my daughter, I'll wait till it's your time to join me in heaven."

He smiled at her bent head, raising her chin with a thin finger. Sue looked surprised. "You heard me pray father?"

"Yes honey I did," he look at her and smiled, "I love you darling I'll wouldn't have endured to live another day, if i didn't know you had accepted Christ."

" I love you." He whispered.

Peace flooding his eyes, the hand on Sues cheek slowly began to fall.

She caught it in hers.

While only sob's rocked her body, God knew how bad she wanted to cry.

Flashback end

"Bella..."Sue finally interrupted, tears running down a familiar path on her cheek.

Bella continued in spite of the difference in Sue's voice.

Her nonstop conversation this time was about the boy problem she was facing.

Now days when she had a problem, Bella knew she could count on her strong friend.

Pausing in her 'speech' Bella heard Sue crying on the other end.

Gasping inside at her indifference, blushing Bella managed to find her voice again.

"Sue what's wrong, is it your dad" Bella asked concerned.

She heard sue intake a few breath of calming air before speaking.

"My father died... three days... ago" Sue managed to say before the tears began to spill again.

Sue promised herself she wouldn't cry but saying those three words were the hardest she'd ever had to say.

"Oh Sue I'm so, so sorry, here I'm blabbing about boy problems, when you have the hardest period in your life. I'm sorry, you know what sue? why don't i come over I can, you know, comfort you. We can order pizza and have an honor your father day.

"Sure, I would have liked that any day but—"

"But what..." Bella's voice was soft.

"I... I have to finish packing my things, I'm moving in with my aunt."

"Aunt Trish, that lives two minutes away from me?" Bella asked her voice exposing her excitement.

"No, she really isn't my aunt just a friend. instead i'm moving to Seattle, my aunt Carrie lives there.

She is the only one left in my small family" Sue laughed dryly.

Never even guessing that, that one syllable at the beginning of her sentence had stabbed Bella in her heart.

"But...but that's all the way in Washington...

Girl that's a long way away from Miami..." but... her voice broke up,

"I'll miss you... when you moving?" Bella rambled off questions, hurt triggering most of them.

"Tomorrow my plane leaves early and I'll be in Seattle, Washington in a matter of hours."

Sues voice was comforting to Bella but she still wanted to cry.

She was moving away from her, but that was being selfish, She must get over it. her best friend had lost her only living parent, and now had to endure moving across the states.

"Sue ill... I'll miss you, but you better call me okay?

"Yeah I will" sue said softly. "Goodbye Bella talk to you when i reach Seattle."

Goodbye was the hardest for Bella, she wished with all her heart that Sue could stay at her place but it was impossible.

Bella finally managed goodbye before Sue turned off the phone.
